WAPDA Introduction:

Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority is an autonomous and independent body of the Federal Government of Pakistan which is maintaining the utilities of Water and Power in the state. It was established after the independence through an act of parliament in 1958

WAPDA owns the biggest dams in Pakistan and actively controls and operates the demands and needs of the Pakistani Commercial and Domestic sectors. It is also planning on completing five more multi-dimensional dams to cover the growing needs of the power sector.

WAPDA's goal is focused on developing neat and clean energy that is affordable for the citizens of Pakistan to bring down the power tariff keeping in view the consumers. The company has a self-governing network throughout the country.

Job Description:

The candidates must apply from all over the country however, the selected candidates will be posted anywhere in Pakistan. WAPDA is hiring a Jr Civil Engineer, Jr Geologist, Jr Seismologist/Geophysicist, Jr Engineer Agriculture, Assistant Director Environment, Research Officer, Assistant Director – Ecology, Assistant Research Officer, and Sub Engineer Civil.

Both male and female applicants are eligible for this recruitment. FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, AJK, Sindh, Punjab, and Disabled Person quotas are briefly described in the WAPDA Career Advertisements.

 These employment opportunities are opening on a Regular Basis. The Eligibility Criteria of these positions require B.E, BSc, MSc, DAE, Relevant Field Diploma, Matriculation, and Master's Degree Qualifications in the same domain holding strong previous experience.

Educational Degrees must be recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan HEC and the Pakistan Engineering Council PEC. Professionals must review the advertisement for complete information before visiting the PTS website for applications.

This WAPDA Advertisement is available on both PTS and WAPDA websites. Written Tests shall be conducted by the PTS and interviews will be conducted by the WAPDA. The initial appointment shall be on a probation period of one year.

General age relaxation has already been included in the age limit. No further age relaxation shall be granted except 3 years of age relaxation to the candidates belonging to scheduled castes, Buddhist Community, Recognized Tribes of Tribal Areas, GB, and AJK.

A 10-year age relaxation shall be admissible to disabled persons applying against the disabled person quota. Age will be on the last date of application.
